Parent-Infant (0-3 Years Old)
Bonding & Attachment

Forming a relationship with another person takes time, and an infant is no different. A strong bond between parent and infant isn’t always automatic. Sometimes new parents can feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed, which can bring distance between them and their baby. In other cases, common struggles such as difficulty sleeping or difficulty feeding can make life difficult for parent and child. In any case, it’s normal and ok to ask for help forming a healthy connection with your newborn. Our goal is to facilitate that connection so that it can grow into a trusting, secure, and lasting relationship.

We use attachment-based therapy to help new parents bond with their infants. Every person has their own personal attachment style, but many people are not aware of their attachment style and how it can affect their new and existing relationships. By educating our clients about their attachment style, we can help them learn to develop secure attachments in the ways that work best for them.

We offer different services for individuals facing challenges bonding with their new babies. We provide consultations with early childhood professionals to educate clients on social and emotional development such as Attachment-based Psychotherapy, Attachment-based Family Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Finally, we allow our clients to upload monthly videos of their families and familial interactions so that our therapists can discuss with and coach the parents in order to lessen their anxieties regarding parenting.
